M2: Movement Meditation
You think you cannot sit still to meditate?! Yury will simplify meditation for you with a combination of theory and practice of meditative movement, creating creates an accumulation of focus, attention, enhanced recovery, and stress reduction. You will also strengthen your mind-body connection. (Equipment: yoga mats if possible)
Intro to Meditation
Learn with Yury the background to traditional tenets of Buddhist meditation: from principles to prana to practices. Instead of learning just the theory, we will practice meditation to gain some new pranayama skills and drills you can implement into your own life or use with clients and classes almost immediately for both physiological and psychological benefits for mind and body. (Equipment: yoga mats and blocks if possible)
Breathing Meditation
Those who breathe together meditate together! The moment we pay attention to our process of breathing, we are discovering this valuable treasure that is right in front of (and depending on) our nose. Practicing observing patterns of your breath not only gives you a better sense of your physical body, but will also shed light on your emotional state. Learn an ancient, authentic technique that Yury shares from his time in Kathmandu monastery, Nepal. Simple method of Tibetan monks will help to adjust functioning of your body and mind one breath at a time.
